According to data released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), the country's daily crude steel output was estimated at 1.961 million tons in December 21-31 period, decreasing by 2.7% from 10 days ago.
Besides, the country's crude steel output in late December hit the lowest level since early February, 2013.
The CISA's member mills produced 1.638 million tons per year in December 21-31 period, falling by 6.9% from the previous 10 days.
Meanwhile, China's crude steel output totaled 712.9 million tons in the January-November period, rising by 8% year on year.
